False Logic

Our logic, sense and intellect are in such short supply,
That clever men -though full of knowledge- rarely ponder why
This beautiful, majestic Earth.... this jewel set in Space,
Should be so wisely crafted and so neatly set in place.

And yet some folks who think themselves both logical and wise
Will shut their minds and will not look for meaning in their lives.
"There's more important stuff" the say, "than trying to fathom why,"
But would they change their minds if they were just about to die?
