Golden Plovers at Winchester, Hants

You don't have to go far to get some pretty decent birds. I caught up with the huge flock of Golden Plovers near Winchester Sewage Farm. There were also plenty of Lapwings and a few Snipe mixed in with them. Add to that a possible Dunlin, which was too distant to be sure about and you have a good selection of waders.

There was also a Lesser Black-backed Gull, which I consider difficult to get in Hampshire, the odd Common Gull, Teal, Pochard and a Tufted Duck. Big fun!
