In the distance, on the horizon is the townland of Largylinny. It is adjacent
to Carnerk or sometimes called Carnesk and I feel it must always be born in
mind that although John Leith is given as coming from Moyglass in the Parish
of Devenish ,the above townland is in the Parish of Inishmacsaint and this is
the family home of the Leiths
On the opposite of the road from Largalinny is Carnerk
and both pieces of ground are described in the tithe books as heathy which means
they are covered in gorse bushes.
