The church at Monea is visible in the bottom right hand corner of the map and as you follow the road through the village of Derrygonnelly, Carrick Lough can be seen below the road. The townland of Carnirk is on the other side of the road opposite the northern corner of the lake.

                               Largalinny is on the hill overlooking Carrick Lough.
