Your opportunity to make a contribution to the "hi2u 4 people with hidden impairments" web
site.
There are lots of ways you can
participate with this site so please ensure you scroll down this page to
find ways of making your contribution here. There's much more to
this site than just forums!
Forums
We have 2 forums on this web site and it doesn't really matter
which one you use. The original forum is a service provided by
Bravenet. This only allows 150 messages that can be left then starts
deleting the oldest message. So a second forum has been started to
enable more messages to be left. This forum is provided by Voyager
info-systems.
Please ensure you keep your message family friendly with no
discrimination towards other members of society. Also ensure you
follow basic Internet safety procedures. If your unfamiliar with
using forums then seek advice on safety. Generally it's a good idea
not to leave your full name or E-mail address along with any information
that can identify you and where you live. If you are fully aware of
Internet safety and wish to provide this info that is your choice.
Please ensure you have read terms and conditions, link towards bottom of
this page.
Contribute an
article!
Maybe you would like to contribute an article, poem, story or
something else. If so please feel welcome to E-mail your
contributions to me. Please make it very clear within your E-mail
weather you wish me to put work on the web site and that it is your work
therefore your copyright. The copyright will remain yours but I need
your permission to place your material on web site. This will
probably be on a page of its own you can be anonymous if you wish!
However please check copyright law to ensure safety of your work if this
concerns you. I can take no responsibility for people taking
information from this web site and using it for their use or others.
So should anyone take your work from this web site and claim copyright
themselves, I can not take responsibility for this. You will need to
make your own arrangements for gaining control over copy rights you
have. I would be happy to place link for your E-mail address and if
you have a web site provide link to that as well. Providing your web
site is family friendly and doesn't discriminate against members of
society.
Events
There is a page 4 UK events! If you are organising a conference or
something that would be valuable for others to know about then please E-mail
me details and ask for them to be displayed on this page. This is not
generally available for profit making businesses. It is for voluntary
sector and non profit making organisations that provide services for people
with hidden impairments also known as invisible disabilities. Events
don't have to be just for hidden impairments will consider any disability or
voluntary sector event. This site is voluntary run and there is no
charge for placing your event on this site.
Links
and useful information
This site would be much more valuable to visitors if we had more links
and useful information. Therefore would appreciate any help you are
able to give with this and information. You can provide this info by
E-mail or using the forum. There is normally a "free for all
links" unfortunately this is not working. Therefore I will be
replacing this for a different service. Then you will be able to add
links directly yourself. Useful information particularly news items
you can use the forum or E-mail myself.
We have no
chat room on this site.
At present there is no chat room on this web site! I rely on
voice recognition software and find chat rooms very difficult to cope
with! However if people would like a chat room please let me know
and I will see what can be done. Ideally I would welcome a volunteer
to take this on board and look after chat room during opening times.
So if there's anyone out there with knowledge of issues around this web
site and would like to volunteer to look after chat room then please get
in touch, many thanks, Andy
Many thanks for taking time to read
this page. It's much appreciated. I will be updating this page
in the future as this web site grows. Would welcome any ideas
visitors have towards improving this site to provide a valuable service to
society.
