A response from Dot
About, Chris's drawings showing his anger about, UK Woman's Own magazine article.

Hi Andy, l too am very angry about the article in Womans Own. Where do they get the idea that kids on Rit are zombies ??, Isn't that defamation of character???. We can all identify with jumping off the stairs, out the window in my son's case. But whats eye contact got to do with it?. My son went through changes in diet and excluding some foods when he was about 6 (21 yrs ago)
If that had worked then fine. But what about when the diets, vitamins, allergies etc don't work. They are just saying it worked for them and that if other parents do what they did then they wouldn't need Ritalin. What a load of bull. l feel sorry for the new parents who haven't yet learned the system and could be put off by all this bad publicity. Another case of biased ignorant information. Keep it going Andy, it goes to show you are really needed in the UK. Tell your son his pics speak for all of us. Speak to you soon. Hope you can placate all these poor parents.......Dot
PS... Why don't you set up a message board so people can vent / seek advice from there:)))) good luck
Hi Dot
Many thanks for your reply to Chris’s drawings centred around unpleasant article in Woman’s Own magazine. I wholeheartedly agreed with you. Hopefully media will start producing more positive material around people who have AD/HD and simmer conditions. It’s long over due!!!
With reference to message board! This facility is now available on this site. With the new forum, hi2u Space for Your Voice. I’m very much hoping visitors will make use of this facility.
Many thanks Dot, for making the effort to respond! I know it’s hard work when your hands are full! This web site can only be valuable if visitors contribute material!
Take care, Andy
