"Learning Must Be Fun"
Conference held at University of York
21st and 22nd July 2000

This page is under construction and may take a little time to complete! Then again perhaps this page won’t ever get completed! Maybe there will be enough interest to continue adding more and more items here! I guess it’s up to you? Myself and Chris attended the conference and have come back with photos, ideas for Chris’s drawings and loads of information. We will start the ball rolling by slowly placing our bits and pieces on this page. I have provided a forum to enable you to participate with this page! So if you attended the conference and have some views to share with us, you can use the forum to do this. I spoke to some of the speakers when the conference ended and asked if they would be willing to provide some useful information for this site. The response sounded very promising so hopefully we will see their input too. Bob Breen, seemed to have achieved the impossible by organising this conference with nearly 1000 people attending. I’m hoping Bob will feel, that the enormous amount of understanding about AD/HD and related conditions, that was brought together with this conference is worth sharing with the whole world. I’m also hoping that I can make my contribution here! So why don’t you join in as well?
Many thanks, Andy

Jerry Mills, Don’t Doubt the Dream.
Jerry, singer songwriter and teacher with first hand experience of AD/HD. Delivered an excellent presentation centred around difficulties, children with AD/HD are experiencing at schools. He uses his childhood experiences and his knowledge of teaching children with similar difficulties to himself to enhance his presentation. To top this he sang some of his songs that will enhance our understanding of children with AD/HD and there needs! A truly excellent presentation perhaps one should give Jerry 10 out of 10 for this.
Perhaps more importantly he’s a down to earth person that seems to have time for everyone! He found time to spend with myself and Christopher providing encouragement for both of us. He spent time looking at Chris’s drawings and I have to say this because Chris has been a little down with things recently! Jerry certainly made Chris feel much more happier with all that positive encouragement. Jerry even found time to give me some encouragement too. I’m not sure what else to say other than, "thanks Jerry" you won’t be forgotten!
