Starting Help for People Wanting to Learn About AD/HD
Perhaps a good starting point is to get a copy of:
Understanding AD/HD by Dr Christopher Green and Dr Kit Chee.
After reading this you will feel very knowledgeable! However if you are still needing more information perhaps it would be worth your while discussing your specific needs with a local or national group.
The hi2u 4 people with hidden impairments site is providing links for support groups in the East Midlands and surrounding areas just click on the following link.
You can find out information about local groups on:
Another site that lists local groups and also professionals like specialist doctors is:
This site has lots of information however some of this could be outdated as this site is not updated regularly! However well worth visiting good library of information relating to AD/HD and other conditions.
For obtaining information not using the Internet the following organisations have good knowledge of local groups throughout UK. However please understand these groups can be very busy. Sometimes phone lines are constantly busy therefore good idea to send stamp address envelope with brief description of information you are seeking.
