On Sunday the 31 October 2004, Debbie, Sean [my guide dog] and I drove to Goodwood to take some more photographs of Sneezy [G-ATOO!].  We arrived at 10:45 to be met by a lot of aircraft on the ground surrounded by a lot of pilots all gazing hopefully towards the control tower... and not an engine to be heard... all very strange!

At 11:00 all those pilots ran to their aircraft, started their engines in a flurrish and sprinted to runway 06 for take off... a sight which isn't usually seen outside the LeMans 24 hour motorcar race in France!

We knew from the NOTAMS that the airfield had been closed due to being water-logged, but what we didn't realise was that at 11:00 the control tower had given it's blessing for the aircrews to take off after a runway inspection had declared 24/06 to be opperational.  Therefore, as it was such a lovely sunny day, with few clouds, Sneezy was checked out, fired up and pointed skywards for a short, 50 minutes, flight to Beachyhead and back.

Below are a couple of video clips taken on the journey.  If you have broadband, then you're just a "click away" from sharing in some of the fun:-
