MUSTANG FERRARI SUBARU

This is the first page on the Allied Law website dedicated to
just a handful of the sportscars that I have owned in the last few years.
The photograph above depicts a day in January 2005 when I had just sold my Ferrari 308
GTB, to be replaced by another Ferrari 3.2 Mondial QV. Although the rare fibreglass 308
"Magnum" model is very beautiful with its sleek lines, it has a somewhat cramped
two seat cockpit; the Mondial's having a much roomier four seat arrangement.
This Mondial is a 3200 CC, four valve per cylinder V8 with quad overhead camshafts and
fuel injection. The motor puts out about 255 BHP and this Ferrari has a top speed of 155
MPH.

You'll also note the photographs of a very
different motor car, coming from a different continent and era; it's a 1965 Ford Mustang
289V8 fastback, and it's not dissimilar to the 1968 390 GT found jumping the streets of
San Fransisco in Steve McQueen's film "Bullit".

"Steve"... how he liked me to call him...was found racing the bad guy's black
Dodge Charger, although lover's of the film, may note that Steven's Mustang seems to have
a sixteen speed gearbox in his Mustang... my dark ivy green example has only four and most
have only a three speed automatic, but that's down to editorial poetry!

If you've got a broadband connection, then click
on the link below to see and hear the Mustang's "roar". The video was taken
whilst reving up the motor in my garage in deepest Surrey. Caution should be exercised
however, as too higher a volume, will cause immediate deafness for all earphone listeners!
The third motoring legend to be found at Meadowbank House is a Subaru Impreza WRX STI with
a 280 BHP flat four cylinder motor, which takes this rally-bred sportscar from 0 to 60 MPH
in under five seconds and to a top speed of 150 MPH on unlimited autobahns!

Debbie and I use the versitility of the Subaru every day, as it's the carwhich we use for work, covering about 600 miles per week; her careful driving resulting in a 30 MPG fuel consumption.
