Dear Andrew & Debbie,
Many thanks for your help with the Cherokee, attached pictures show us
trying to put him in his new hangar which proved impossible until we found a
towbar to castor the front wheel. You can just make out the enginless
Auster in the background of one of the shots.
OO flew impeccably despite sleet, turbulence, low cloud, and a 1000ft
freezing level, we look forward to an exciting season with him this year.
He goes considerably faster than the Auster which is very welcome.
I have talked to my best friend David Hockings who is the Chief
Engineer/Flying Instructor of Deanland airfield and he would be delighted to
give you an engineers report on your proposed purchase of an Arrow from
Brian at Blackpool, the cost would not be too great.
Email: david@hockings.flyer.co.uk
David is the most knowledgeable, honest, capable, licensed engineer and
pilot I have ever met, I could not recommend anyone more highly.
Am off now to clean Mr Sneezy who went overseas yesterday to Sandown!
Best Regards
Phil
