This lightweight glass/carbon fibre car has many top ten results to its credit, including 3rd overall on a single-venue stage rally.
Bodywork: Totally rust free seam welded shell, with glass/carbon fibre front wings, bonnet,, valence, and wide tarmac arches. In addition there is a WRC-style carbon fibre roof vent, perspex windows and lightened steel doors.
Engine: 4.1 litre Progress Engineering V8 running on quad 50 Webbers, putting out 320 BHP through a Cosworth race clutch.
The engine has recently been serviced and rolling road tuned by Minisport of Padiham [235 BHP was achieved at the back wheels].
Gearbox: TVR Chimera five speed overdrive top [only two events old], with Cosworth-Ford 4x4 racing clutch.
Axle: Multi-point Salisbury 3.9:1 4HA with LSD.
Suspension: Leda adjustable gas shocks, roller top mounts, rose-jointed, with front and rear double anti roll [dive] bars.
Brakes: Cosworth-Ford four pot front ventilated and solide rear discs. Adjustable brake bias and hydraulic handbrake.
Interior: Fully triangulated multi-point safety cage [complete with authentication certificate], carbon-fibre bucket seats, four-point aircraft harnesses, Fire Eater automatic extinguisher system, internal fuses and relays, fully instrumented with codriver's carbon fibre switch panel and dash rev limiter.
Lights: Four-way removable lamp pod and standard system conforming to Road Traffic Regulations.
Wheels: Approximately 36 wheels with slick, intermediate, wet, M&S, road tyres inc. six 10" ex-works Revolutions, ten 10" Wellers and two 8" Superlites etc. etc.
This TR has been developed over the last four years in both circuit racing and tarmac rallies. It has twin electrical back-up systems for ultimate reliability and has only once failed to finish a rally [due to a lose earth lead]!
