Damn Battleships Again

“Pre Dreadnought” naval warfare is the period from about 1860 to 1906, when HMS Dreadnought was launched. This covers the 46 years when navies moved from wooden wall sailing ships to the modern warship as we understand it was a period of incredible change and experimentation, and some in-credible ships were produced.

Damn Battleships Again is Phil Barker’s (of WRG fame) game for this period. They are a quick play ruleset, but give a believable outcome. The rules are still in embryo form and are found here. They do need a bit of tinkering with still. One of the things they do not have is a list of the ships of the day for the DBSA defined classes. I plan to do this soon………..
