La Garde Francais in glorious colour, preparing to give fire, La Garde Suisse to its right. In the rear are (l-r) the Nouveau Regmnts Beaujolais and Medoc and the Gendarmes de Bourgogne. These are the old Minifigs 15mm strip figures, my first ever Renaissance troops and still giving sterling service nearly 20 years later

Below is the army in battle array, on the left is the Regmnt Champagne, one of the original 5 "Vieux Corps" regiments of the French army. As you can see, the large "Flags (Drapeau d'Ordonnance) really make this army into a good spectacle
