The Medieval Muslim Indians and Moghuls

The business end of a Medieval Muslim army - the Jaghir heavy cavalry, here in Sultanate of Delhi guise as the Delhi Sultan flies the great black banner, while shielded by the royal parasol. Unfortunately these photos are a bit dull, this is an extremely colourful army and all the toys puts Warhammer Fantasy to shame!

Late Muslim Indian Elephants and Hindu swordsmen, screened by handgunners. The Red banner of the left wing is flying. A useful option is to mount the swordsmen on nags, as it gets them to the action faster.

Indian archers en masse - cheap, and very effective against all but the best troops. Also darned fast to paint. This is about half the number in the lists, so its just as well!

Light blue touchpaper.....the Didlisqwat Young Mens Rocket club lights up....these rockets are incredibly useful in DBR and pretty cost-effective in DBM too.

The artillery - in the foreground are light guns and rocket launcher, in the background a bloody great Gonne and the Irregular Miniatures Big Rocket Launcher (couldn't resist it). Still to get is a Lion-Headed piece for the Moghuls.

Moghul foot - a Zambarak camel swivel-gun in the foreground, bunduqchi shot in the background.

My first attempt at baggage - elephant and camel baggage train passes by in the background, while in the foreground a noisy auction of captive slave girls goes on - and the Sultan on his flying carpet examines his latest purchase.....next step, a seraglio!
