This site is for those of you that that are not just sheep that buy vehicles from manufacturers that are themselves just following the flow of boring fashion.

These are vehicles designed from first principles with a clean sheet of paper.

These vehicles redefine what vehicles can do and how they should be made and most importantly ridden.

Sheep should not enter this site, you have been warned.   Return to Monty’s index page

I’ve been looking at FF for a long time and a month ago I set to, with my saw etc. and destroyed my CBR 1000, anyway its on the road , and does what it should. I used my CBR as it was all I had, and I wanted to try it out before I spent to much money, on a project that will cost a fortune in time, as well as expense as I am now going to purchase a Honda VTR 1000, and do the job properly, its not that the CBR rides so bad but even though I am six 3 that motor is wide, if I am going to spend the next god knows how long to produce  something I am really proud of I would prefer something a little slimmer. anyway what I wanted was could I advertise  my ff in your pages, prefer for sale as it is, I can put it back to standard, but it will take time, and so would be happy to let it go to someone with an eye and a hacksaw, my ultimate goal is to produce a kit of parts to make your own ff  or converting your own as required, I already run a small subcontract engineering business and can readily make all the parts inc the fibreglass body,

yours Dave Arthur.

I bought a salvage write off CBR 1000, cut it up as in pics, then attacked my road going bike, I use it for work every day and try to put an hour in after every shift, and although its about as bad as can be, the actual riding of it is not so bad, so having satisfied myself it would be a worthwhile project to continue, and today I’ve coughed up for a VTR 1000, the choice is obvious, my main problem is going from a dog, to something you would piss razor blades to have a go off, and because a proper job takes a lot of time, I now want to start off with a more suitable donor, as I hope ultimately to sell on as a kit, so that’s it I enclose pics to give you some ideas, and to show people out there you don’t need to spend months before it even on the road, ok its rough but it works, much better than any drawing ever could, you actually get  to grips with all the good and bad bits in one lump, the hardest part in any project is starting?

I wish in hindsight I had not cut up my CBR  and just sold it on as original, but if I hadn’t cut it up I would never have known, and I have already gained up a load of info to help with the next project, so overall it was money and time well spent.
