Sea cavern Holywell Bay
Mysterious sea cavern ... weird shapes, normally sunk in continual darkness, with amazing blue/green colours formed by the mineral rich waters which drip down the tiny cave above the well at Holywell Bay, Near Newquay.In the Middle Ages, it is recorded, people frequented the well "in incredible numbers, from countries far distant", in search of a miraculous cure, often leaving their crutches in the cave, which is just big enough for a person to crawl into.
