| Abacourt House was created by converting a private victorian town house. Modern, comfortable facilities were tastefully combined with original features such as pitch pine doors and staircase. The upgrading of the property has provided a high standard of facilities for our guests. Abacourt House is perfectly situated in a quiet side street in the heart of Keswick yet we are only a minutes walk from the shops, restaurants, traditional pubs, lake and numerous other amenities offered by the centre of Keswick. | ![]() |
| With us choosing to only let 5 rooms there will only be a maximum of 10 guests staying at Abacourt at any one time. We prefer it this way so that we can create a "home from home" with a friendly, informal atmosphere. All of our guest rooms feature modern, clean private en-suite facilities, colour TV, radio alarm clock, central heating with individual room controls, tea and coffee making facilities and double glazing for comfort and warmth. Some of the rooms have stunning views of the fells above Keswick. |
| Breakfast is served in our spacious yet intimate dining room. A choice of a full cooked English breakfast or a lighter cooked breakfast is available along with vegetarian and vegan options cooked seperately from the other breakfasts. All breakfasts are served with fruit juice, fruit segments, cereal, tea, coffee, toast and preserves. We would be delighted to prepare breakfast for anyone with special dietary requirements if requested when making a reservation. | ![]() |
![]() | We have been awarded 4 diamonds by the Cumbria Tourist Board and are one of only two bed and breakfast establishments in Keswick featured in the "Which?" Best B&B Guide. We are also featured in the Michelin Guide and have been recommended by Rick Steves, American travel writer, for many years now. In recognition of our continuing commitment to our guests comfort and care the English Tourist Council has given Abacourt House a silver award. |
