3. Affiliation/MembershipAffiliation discounts will cease as from April 1st 2007, and the reduced rates will be given at the discretion of the Committee/Chairman. Societies may still affiliate (though the restriction still applies that affiliates must be resident in the borough of Nuneaton & Bedworth). Affiliate groups/societies are entitled to send representation to both General Meetings and committee meetings of the Arts Council, with voting rights included. Membership of the Arts Council will continue, and this is an area where we must increase our drive to have the users and the volunteers sign up and become paid-up members. Reductions and benefits can be agreed but can depend in the main upon the level of support received by the NAC from members of a society or organization. Download a booking form: Concessions on these rates may be granted at the chairman's or committee's discretion. The NAC reserves the right to change the hiring rates at a General Meeting of the Arts Council. All users are bound by the NAC Terms and Conditions of Hire Please note that NAC documents/forms are constantly under review - please ensure you have the latest copy. A deposit may be levied against excess cleaning costs - the NAC reserves the right to retain this deposit should the building or part thereof be left in an unsatisfactory condition by any user. The hirer is also responsible for ensuring that during rehearsals, the auditorium and seating therein is treated with care. Hire charges for the theatre for a performance or technical/dress rehearsal will normally include free access to the four main dressing rooms behind stage. There may be times, however, when one or more rooms may be unavailable due to other bookings. The NAC reserves the right to remove one or more dressing rooms from the hire although notice of such will be served to hiring customers as appropriate. Additional dressing room space is available in the form of the Milby Room and Etone Lounge on the first floor, for which the standard terms and charges will apply. Hire charges include the use of most of the technical equipment for stage, lighting and sound. However, some items may be charged as extras - these items will be notified to users at the time of booking. Details of what is included and may be available as extras can be found here. For affiliation details and benefits, see Membership info below. Terms and conditions of the use of any part of the NAC can be obtained by contacting the Theatre Office. Membership of the NACBecome a Friend of the NAC
Affiliated societies and Friends of the NAC may take advantage of the significantly reduced hiring rates for both stage and function rooms. Groups wishing to affiliate must have an arts base, be resident in the borough of Nuneaton & Bedworth and be approved by the management committee of the Arts Council. The Council reserves the right to refuse any request for affiliation without giving reason, and also to revoke any affiliation should they decide such a move is in the best interests of the Centre. Affiliation rules will be reviewed and updated at the AGM. |
