ELLON & DISTRICT DARTS LEAGUE MEN’S SECTION
                                              RULES                                     

1.  Match night Tuesday

2.  Players permitted to play for only one team in this league

3.  Matches consist of 3 doubles (each game best of 3 legs of 501), 2 triples (best of 1 leg 701), followed by 6 singles (each game best of 3 legs of 501), straight start, double finish, bull counts as double 25. Up to ten players may be used. Nominated players to be placed on result sheet before the match commences. Captains place 3 pairs on result sheet, on completion of pairs, captains place 3 triples on result sheet, on completion of triples, captains place 6 singles on result sheet. 1 point awarded to each set, first team to 6 sets wins the match.

4. Visual score board must be in operation, using chalk, pen, etc.

5. Throw to be 7'9.25" (237cm) or over, height of board 5'8" in a perpendicular line from floor to centre of bull. A raised 'oche' must be used and should be toed. It is not permitted to stand on the 'oche'.

6.  Home team to supply scorer, away team to supply checker in all games.

7.  Order of play is written up separately by captains and placed on result sheet at the same time.

8.  Matches to commence no later than 8pm. If a team has not arrived or notified opponents of their late appearance by 8.10 pm. The other team may claim the match. This rule is to be strictly observed.

9.  Result sheets must be in the Buchan Hotel bar by 9pm Thursday or faxed to 01224 709840 or scan and email to g.crichton@ellondarts.co.uk or penalties will be enforced.  
First occurance a £5 fine. Any further occurance one league point deducted for each offence.

10. Away captain calls toss of coin to commence. Alternate start of each match thereafter. Loser of    toss in first leg commences first in second leg. If third leg is required coin is again tossed. Home players and away players then alternate.

11. Winners of most singles and doubles games will be awarded trophies. Same two doubles players winning most matches qualify. In the event of a draw, games for and against will count.

12. Away team allowed board for practice 7.45pm. To 8pm. (PLEASE ADHERE TO THIS)

13. Match boards must be of good standard.

14. All disputes to be reffered to committee whose decision is final.

15. In all competitions teams must have no less than 5 players.

16. All team competitions, singles and doubles compitions registration 7.45pm for 8.00pm start.
 Late arrivals will be eliminated from the competition.
 Most competitions are played at the Station Hotel Ellon (Function Hall)
 Other competitions played as marked on fixture list.

17. In the event of a team being unable to travel due to bad weather the captain of the home team must be informed by 7.30pm. The two captains must arrange to play the match within two weeks. If agreement cannot be reached the committee will then decide a date.

18. Non attendance of captains meetings will result in a £5 fine.

19. Mobile phones should not be left unattended when playing in any matches; disqualifacation may arise if not adhered to.
