The 1st Greek Night in 2006 and how it all began.... |

| |
It all started so quietly; a small get together,
organised by ARC for their clients and friends.
Having spent more than one aimless night, in Birmingham, on the Friday
night of the NFE, Fiona Corallini and Sam Ferguson had the idea, at the
Franchisor of the Year awards at the Savoy, to see what people felt
about a Greek themed evening.
The idea was so well received that, by the end of
June, numbers were exceeding all expectations and the girls had had to
phone the restaurant, more than once, to change the arrangements'.
At the BFA Summer Reception Fiona invited Dan
Archer, Head of Marketing, and asked how many more from the BFA
would like to come along. |

Unbeknownst to Fiona YELL were in
conversation with Dan Archer, then of the BFA, regarding the sponsorship of
a drinks reception at the NFE. Dan put the two together and the
ARC Media & YELL "Greek Night Out" was born! |

90 franchisors, their franchisees
& support teams began to arrive, despite a long day at the show
and huge traffic problems they all got there in one piece.
Fiona & Sam are at the door
taking the passes and distributing drinks vouchers, which are
based on the drachma,
to each guest.

people to the bar (Top priority) and gently direct them to the
tables
where Greek salad awaits them, soon to be followed by a Meze
style buffet. |

The guests are formerly
welcomed to the event by Fiona Corallini who introduces Andrew
Hobbs from YELL who also welcomes one and all together with a
short introduction to himself, his team and YELL services - the
night then begins in full swing.
Welcoming words, introductions
and thanks over Savos, Adonis (Tony) and the superb staff at the
Athens Napoli start serving the Greek Meze.
Adonis grabs an unsuspecting
Fiona and Sam (and then Beckey) and they are on the table
dancing to Greek music,
much to the appreciation of all present,
several of the guests soon follow suit. |

The Athens Napoli resident
belly dancer arrives to show how it should really be done and,
once again, Fiona is lifted onto the table by Adonis to join in. |

Moving around the table several
luminaries of the franchise industry are encouraged
onto the table, with the fantastic belly dancer, to show off
their own belly dancing skills
and everyone obliged but the pictures have been designated
strictly private and
confidential to protect the guilty. |
|
Everyone is lead outside, with
Sam placed in the lead, by Adonis (he was everywhere), in a
Greek dancing 'conga line' to participate in the plate smashing
of the evening. It was then time for more dancing with an
eclectic mix of disco tunes from the 60's, 70's & 80's and once
again everyone is on their feet dancing the night away having a
seriously great time, with the ARC Media girls taking center
stage at several points throughout the night. |

Time:
2.30am and the last of the revellers leave the Athens Napoli restaurant having had one of
their best non-business, franchise industry nights
out. |
