Blc. Oconee 'Mendenhall' is the "mother of all reds", well alot of them at least. Best known as a breeding plant, the flower is lovely in its own right, although a bit ruffled. Parent of Port Royal Sound, Chia Lin, Owen Holmes grexes amongst others.
Fragrance is stong, well into the late evening unusually for a Blc.
Plant height is around 20 inches and is only really blooming size in an 8" pot.
