Stanhopea panamensis is a strong grower in my enviroment. With all Stanhopeas, the basic rule is not to let them dry out. I grow them in baskets with loosely packed Sphagnum moss, this seems to work very well. I haven't had them that long, so am still waiting for some repeat flowerings on other plants.
The fragrance on this plant is like menthol, very pungent, some say panamensis is like mint but mine is not like that. This plant is OIC verified #8481.
