Walking 50 kilometres is no mean feat. It takes real grit and determination to fight against aching muscles and physical exhaustion. On top of that you have to use a map to navigate a complicated route.

However, at 1st Adderbury we are celebrating after completing the 50km Hike Oxon route faster than any other Scouts in Oxfordshire.

Matty struggles over a style

The 50 kilometre route used footpaths and bridleways around a circular route that started in Wallingford and passed through villages like Dorchester-on-Thames, Hagbourne, Blewbury and Cholsey and took in sections of the Ridgeway. Each team had to pass through a series of checkpoints to ensure they followed the correct route.
