Jo Source serves breakfast to his mum Jane

Adderbury Scouts were up at the crack of dawn on Mothering Sunday 2001 in order to prepare a mouth watering special breakfast for their mums.   At 7.30 on Sunday morning a group of the Troop’s members arrived at Adderbury Institute to prepare a three course breakfast.   The Scout’s mums and their guests arrived to enjoy their son’s hard work after a lie in, at 9am.   This year’s sumptuous menu was:

 Breakfast fruit bowl (a fresh fruit salad) or orange juice;
Bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, tomato, mushrooms, toast;
Croissants and marmalade;
Tea or coffee

The Scouts prepared all three courses themselves as a team.   The whole event ran like clockwork and the mums left the Institute having enjoyed the food … and the thought of their son’s doing the washing up!
