Background for young people
The 1st Adderbury Scout was started in January 1979
by Mr Mike Lidster and since then we've enjoyed thirty years of wicked
activities, adventure, challenges and fun.
If you join Scouts you'll get to try all sorts of new things you would otherwise
miss out on. Have a look around this website to get an idea.
You'll also be able to join in loads of
camps and spend time with your mates.
And if you think Scouts isn't for you ... well we challenge you to try it and
we'll prove you wrong!
Background for
parents
The 1st Adderbury Scout Troop is
based in the village of Adderbury three miles
south of Banbury. As well as
the weekly meeting we have regular weekend
activities and the
annual week long Summer Camp -
the highlight of the year.
New members can join soon after
their 10th birthday and 1st Adderbury operates a waiting list policy for all new members. Subscription
fees are £29 per quarter (£24 if
paid by standing order).
