This is the Mandelbrot set in Winfract, using the Blues colour map, with Fractals, Basic Options, Inside set to Bof 60. The point of a fractal image is that you can focus in on any part and you get (infinite) detail and repetitions. The first picture is the whole set; the three others are zooms on part of the set. None of the GIF files used here do any real justice to the real thing.

If you can find some better colour schemes, please let us know.

NB If you wish to zoom in repeatedly, you need to improve the number of iterations (Fractals, Basic Options, number of iterations - increase it from the rather poxy starting value). This will make the programme slower, but provide greater detail at increased depth of magnification.
