Directions via M6 Motorway
- Leave @ junction 15 (approx. 35 minutes to Admiral’s House)
- Alton Towers is well signposted but is directed via Uttoxeter. The
quickest route however is to follow the A50 towards Uttoxeter but take
the first exit after the Meir tunnel towards Blythe Bridge.
- At Blythe Bridge turn left onto the A521 towards Cheadle.
- At the mini island (end of Cheadle High Street) go right then immediately left onto the B5417 towards Oakamoor & Alton
Towers.
- Follow the road until descending the steep hill into Oakamoor village
and turning sharp right just past the church. (Admirals House on right).
Directions via M1 Motorway From The North
- Leave @ junction 28 (approx. 1 hour to Admiral’s House).
- Take A38 towards Derby (Alton Towers).
- At the second island (Esso filling station opposite) turn right onto the
A52 towards Ashbourne.
- Stay on the A52 past Ashbourne & follow signs for Stoke-on-Trent.
- Turn left at the junction with the B5417 signposted Oakamoor & Alton Towers.
- Upon reaching Oakamoor village go over the narrow river bridge then turn
first left.
Directions via M1 Motorway From The South
- Leave @ junction 23A (approx. 40 minutes to Admiral’s House).
- Take the A50 towards Stoke-on-Trent (Alton Towers).
- At the second roundabout (Uttoxeter) turn off the A50 onto the B5030 towards Ashbourne (Alton Towers).
- Follow all subsequent signs towards Alton Towers.
- At Alton Towers carry on past the main entrance to a crossroads & turn left onto the B5417 towards Cheadle.
- Follow the road down the hill into Oakamoor village, over the narrow
river bridge then turn first left.
