Riverside Caravan Park, Little Clevelode Nr. Malvern

Our first night away in Putt Putt was to give him a good run and to see what sleeping out for the night was like! We stocked up at Tescos in Stratford and headed over to the Riverside Caravan Park, which in fairness is only 40 miles from home. But it was an adventure none the less. On arrival the owner made us feel very welcome and was pleased that we had made their site our first camping experience. We were directed to our space in the field, and were shown the clubhouse and shop which has just undergone an extensive refurb. We managed to pitch up with no major problems (glad I rehearsed the awning prior to going!) and had a nice cup of tea.
Later we barbecued our supper and enjoyed it in the magnificient evening sunshine. The rest of the site was mostly caravans and a few tents. I did spot one orange Bay with a rib in tow, but didn't get a chance to say hello. Later we used the Uber Entertainment system to watch a movie and to listen to some MP3s. Mmmmm, quadrophonic! We had a drink in the clubhouse before bed, which helped to numb the pain of sleeping on a plank! Joe our 2 year old managed to doze off in the hammock quite safely whilst we spent the night trying to keep the cushions on the R&R bed. Next time we will stick the cushions down or sleep with our heads at the back maybe! Morning brought a nice sunny start, so I cooked a full english whilst watching breakfast TV on the Laptop. Truly a home from home! We were sad to leave, but glad to have broken our camping duck! Roll on Vanfest!! Riverside
