Shipham is about 15 miles south-west of Bristol, just off the A38.
If you are travelling from London on the M4 then the quickest
route is down the M32 and through Bristol city centre, following
signs to the A38 and Bristol Airport.
From the North, Midlands, Wales and South West your best route is
down the M5 and then either off at Junction 18 (following signs to
the airport and A4) or off at Junction 20 (Clevedon and following
signs for the B3133, Yatton and then Lower Langford and
Churchill).
If you're coming from the south coast then you'll be best off
looking at a road atlas to plan your route!
Once on the A38 going away from Bristol (towards Taunton and
Exeter) and about 6 miles past the airport, if you came past it,
you will come to some traffic lights at Churchill. This
is the junction with the A368.
Go straight on at the traffic lights, up the hill and bending
around to the left. After a sharp right bend in the road
there is a Texaco garage on the left and immediately after that
you should turn left into the road signposted Shipham.
Follow the road up the hill. As you enter the village,
Beech Road is the first turning on the left. Our house is
then the second driveway on the left.
