BENEFITS

In summary, if we "fail to learn we fail to earn!"

We should not consider the benefits of education, rather we should consider the consequences of failing to constantly seek and obtain understanding of our products, processes and business environment.

Take away the: people; their skills; knowledge and tacit understanding from any business (no matter how large) and you are left with: a few marginally usefully buildings, scrap metal, and some real-estate. There is little or no opportunity to turn what once was regarded as a Business into a thriving dynamic organisation again. You need skilled people!

The business & financial landscape changes almost as quickly as the UK weather! We all need to keep up with the latest news /finance /processes /procedures /technology /products /etc. If we don't keep up, our competitors will, and they will overtake us. 'Keeping-up' however takes and inordinate amount of time and effort.

We learn the majority of 'things' through one-to-one discussions with colleagues. (Sometime we learn through seminars and/or courses, however, these are relatively rare and short-lived occurrences in comparison to an entire working lifetime.) Using only commonly available tools and techniques, edutainment increases learning by improving interaction with colleagues (on a one-to-many basis) .

The Edutainment concept is not new. The technology of today makes edutainment eminently possible. It is now a relatively straightforward process to inform (through edutainment) an entire workforce on selected business issues with currently available hardware and software.

The cost benefit of creating an edutainment system are, over the short term, not obvious. However, over the longer term it is not an option, both people and edutainment systems are a necessity of today for the Business of tomorrow.
