reports - latest first... Grayshott Colts Red 1 - Liphook United Yellow 1 The honours were shared in this competitively fought local derby. The first half ended goalless thanks to both keepers making a number of fine saves. The deadlock was finally broken late on in the second half when Liphook took the lead through a Conrad Atkin goal but Grayshott equalised in the final minute to take a share of the points. Man of the Match Jed Brennen for a number of fine saves. 22nd January Liphook United Yellow 7 - Farnborough Town Jets 1 After two inept performances this year Liphook produced the flowing football they were consistently producing before the Christmas break. An early goal from Connor Tullett settled the nerves and further goals from Conrad Atkin and George Hunt meant Liphook lead 3 - 0 by half-time. In the second half Liphook continued to play good attacking football and were able to extend their lead with two further goals from Conrad Atkin to complete his hat-trick and a goal each from Connor Tullett and George Hunt. Farnborough scored a late consolation goal as Liphook ran out 7 -1 winners. Man of the Match Conrad Atkin for his hat-trick. 27th November (NE Hants Youth League East Div) Liphook dominated the game from start to finish and easily won 7 - 0. The goals coming from Conrad Atkin with a hat-trick, Connor Tullett with two and one each from Jed Brennen and George Hunt. Man of the Match Lewis Powers for his best performance this season. 20th November (NE Hants Youth League East Div) Liphook started slowly in truly wintry conditions and had Jed Brennen to thank for making a good save early on in the game to keep them on level terms. As the game progressed Liphook began to settle and took the lead mid way through the first half with a goal from Conrad Atkin. Just before half-time Liphook were able to double their lead, thanks again to a goal from Conrad Atkin. In the second half Liphook played the better football and were able to extend their lead with two further goals from Conrad Atkin and a goal from Connor Tullett resulting in a 5-0 victory for Liphook. Man of the Match Connor Tullett for creating a numbers of chances and scoring a fine goal. 13th November Farnham Rhinos 3 - Liphook United Yellow 4 Liphook took an early lead through a well taken goal from Connor Tullett but soon found themselves trailing 2 - 1 and under constant pressure from Farnham. On the stroke of half time Liphook were able to draw level with a break away goal from Conrad Atkin. Liphook started the second half much more positively and were soon leading 4 - 2 thanks to Conrad Atkin completing his hat-trick. Farnham pulled a goal back late on in the second half which lead to a tense final few minutes to the game but Liphook were able to hold on and earn a hard fought victory. Man of the Match James Hunt for a solid defensive performance. 9th October U/9 Hart Celtic 0 Liphook United Yellow 7 The first half was a hard fought affair but by half time Liphook lead 3 - 0 with two goals from C.Atkin and a well taken goal from G.Hunt. Early in the second half C.Atkin completed his hat-trick and with two goals from substitute E.James and the goal of the match from J.Brennen which followed good work from C.Tullett Liphook were victorious 7 - 0. For the second game running our goalkeeper M.Anthony kept a clean sheet. Man of the Match C.Atkin 2nd October LUFC U9 Yellow v Manor Colts Liphook United Yellows played their first home game of the season in the Under 9 East Division of the North East Hampshire Youth League this Saturday against Manor Colts. The game was dominated throughout by Liphook resulting in a 10-0 win. The goal scorers were S.Jones, C.Tullett, J.Brennen, G.Hunt (2), C,Atkin (2) and a hat-trick from J.Hunt. The Man Of The Match was B.Maiden. Regards

Match reports - latest first... 6th November Liphook United Blue 5 - 1 Ludwig Leisure Olympians Liphook fell behind early in the game but fought back to be on level terms by half time thanks to a well taken goal from Tom Finch. After a stiff talking to at half time Liphook were much more determined in the second half and dominated the game for large periods of the half. A second half hat-trick from Tom Finch and a goal from Matthew Barnett guaranteed the win for Liphook. Man of the Match Tom Finch for his four goals.

This was a great result for a team playing together for the first time this season. The result was built around a good team performance. |
