IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUSTICE CHANCERY DIVISION
Case No: HC01C03415
1. Since faxing my submission to the learned judge yesterday, another senior figure at the university (not the person mentioned in my previous paragraph 9), who also finds the defendants' statements concerning Dr Ryan's status at the university insupportable, has today faxed to me another item relevant to Dr Ryan's graduate teaching work and university responsibilities (copy attached hereto). He has also pointed out to me:
(a) That a head of house at Oxford who did not have teaching work and responsibilities at the university (like, as it happens, Michael Beloff QC) would not receive a Professorial salary from his college.
(b) That Dr Ryan's ex officio positions on the boards of appointment to chairs associated with New College and with the Rothermere Institute are in fact on University Boards which appoint University Professorships.
