24 September June 2007

Dear Mr Malcolm

I wrote to you on 24 September 2007 giving an interim reply to you [sic] inquiry of 16 August.

Searches have again been made at Cambridge University Press and in the University Archives, producing no positive result in respect of the 1940's [sic] material.

I have myself in person reviewed the minutes of the Council of the Senate for the relevant period and can find no mention of the matter. This is hardly surprising given that the work of the Council almost entirely devoted to the war effort in various aspects [sic].

You will note from my letter of 24 September that I attempted to help you by referring you to the National Archives which appears [sic] hold [sic] the material you are seeking.

I note from correspondence with them that you have approached the Information Commissioner.

Yours sincerely,

A. Clark
