1633Delegacy of the Press established
1636"Laudian Statutes" - Royal Charter empowering Oxford University to print books of all kinds.
1636"Bible Privilege"
1668Printing House installed in Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford, under direction of Dr Fell.
1712/13 Clarendon Building built in Oxford; hence the "Clarendon Press" under which learned books still appear.
By 1770 Bible Warehouse established in London
1830Present building in Walton Street, Oxford, occupied by Bible and secular printing businesses.
1843Liddell & Scott's Lexicon
