Dear Sir,

The Cambridge University Press
Taxes T1085/8/40

With reference to your letter of the 4th instant to Messrs Turquand, Youngs, McAuliffe & Co. the Auditors to our Clients the Cambridge University Press, you will have already received from them notice of their decision to have the claim heard and determined by the Special Commissioners.

With reference to the date of the hearing we presume this is not likely to be in the immediate future. It would be a great convenience both to Counsel and the witnesses if ample notice of the proposed date of the hearing could be given. If it is possible at the present time to give some indication as to when the claim will be heard we would appreciate this.

If there are any documents of our clients of which copies are desired would you please indicate what these are.

Yours faithfully

Garrard, Wolfe & Co.

S. E.Minnis Esq.,
Board of Inland Revenue,
Somerset House, E.C.2.
