College arms: "Tierced per pale: " (1) Barry of six argent and azure, in chief three lozenges gules, on the second bar of an argent a mullet pierced sable; " (2) Argent, thereon an escutcheon of the See of Lincoln (i.e. Gules two lions passant guardant or, on a chief azure the Blessed Virgin Mary ducally crowned seated on a throne issuant from the chief, on her dexter arm the infant Jesus and holding in her sinister hand a sceptre, all gold: the escutcheon ensigned with a mitre azure garnished and stringed or): (3) Vert, three stags statant two and one or"

LINCOLN COLLEGE was founded by Richard Fleming, Bishop of Lincoln, in the year 1427. It was reconstituted and re-endowed in 1478 by Thomas Rotheram, Bishop of Lincoln and Visitor of the College. afterwards Archbishop of York and Lord High Chancellor of England.

Fellows elected under the College Statutes comprise the following: 26 Tutorial Fellows, 2 additional Official Fellows, 5 Professorial Follows, 12 Supernumerary Fellows, 3 Research Fellows, one Visiting Fellow, and 26 Honorary Fellows.

The College awards Scholarships, Exhibitions, and Bursaries for the support of Junior Members, undergraduate and postgraduate, some of which are awarded for outstanding academic performance or potential, some for specific areas of study or skills (including Organ and Choral awards), some to relieve hardship.

In all the College at present has 281 undergraduates and 220 postgraduates in residence.

The corporate designation of the College is 'The Warden or Rector and Scholars of the College of the Blessed Mary and All Saints, Lincoln, in the University of Oxford, commonly called Lincoln College'.
