Grant Thornton Security Exercise

As you know, on 2nd January auditors from Grant Thornton came to the College to conduct a security review of the Accounts system. The purpose of this exercise, which by its very nature needed to be un-announced, was to check that all was as we expected and assumed it to be.

I have now had Grant Thornton's report on the review and am very pleased to say that all was, indeed, as we expected and assumed it to be. They had a few questions that have now been answered to their complete satisfaction. But the basic result was that they gave us a completely clean bill of health.

I realise that exercises of this nature can be unsettling but in the long run it is very heartening to have confirmation that we have, as we thought, a very effective and efficient accounts department. For this, and for your patience over the past couple of weeks, I would like to thank and congratulate you.
