I Tim Jenkinson of 27 Polstead Road, Oxford will say as follows:-
1. I am a Professorial fellow of the Respondent.
2. I was asked by the Warden to investigate the complaint made by the Claimant against Roger Boden that the proposed restructuring of the Accounts Department was a sham, and that Mr Boden was motivated by racial discrimination.
3. I had a meeting with the Claimant, with the Chaplain as a witness, for about one and half hours. This was an exploratory meeting to identify the issues.
4. I then met with Roger Boden and I asked him to produce a written response to the grievance letter.
5. Having received the response from Roger Boden, I encouraged the Claimant to put a response in writing, which he did.
6. I then held a 2nd meeting with the Claimant in an attempt to resolve the issues.
7. I also interviewed the Warden.
8. I wrote a report setting out my findings and sent a copy to the Claimant.
