I thank you for your letter of the 19th. Although I understand that if matters proceed so far I may be required to appear as a witness, I cannot see my way to volunteering any information whatever about this business and I must therefore decline to be interviewed.

I cannot think that your client believes thet I can give a dispassionate assessment of his revisions to chapter 9 under circumstances such as those he has now created: I therefore return it herewith.
