Diary

I was wondering how I was going to get around all the venues tonight as there was such a lot on, managed it though, and also managed to get a curry in the Darjeeling. The night kicked off,  with a ringing in my ears as various  people with noisy footwear slowly assembled at the Fox and Hounds. With the Stony Steppers,  Old Mother Redcaps and Rose and Castle Morris, various forms of very co-ordinated people stomped, jumped, swirled and smiled to the various forms of traditional dancing.

What gets me about this festival, is that there must be over a hundred performers throughout the week, and they all must have practiced some time. All for the love practicing their art. I think the least we can do as an audience is to go along and appreciate it.  And sure enough you did as there were many people having a pint in Ken's back yard.
