Pay Day

Diary

On leaving Irene's at 04:30, head touching pillow, and rising with a two Anadin headache, I realised that I was in charge of the busking for the day. So my lovely wife, drove back to Stony  and I ploughed into singing bluegrass harmonies with my Concrete Cowboys. I had to take the bottom register, as I had sung myself out, produced some interesting harmonies. Last year I promised you that the busking would be better. Well I think I have delivered that, we had Pagan Chalice, Penders Fen, Mark Farman, All Foulked Up, Ah Yer Will and of the course the Midnight Special playing their unique brand of tongue in cheek skiffle. (Skiffle by the way is not in my spell checker, but Bill Gates does recommend the word sniffle as a replacement!)

Some ancient entertainment from the Stony Mummers was also seen, along with many market stalls. We earnt enough to but a pint in Vaults and I would like to thank all the kind people who threw in buttons as one had recently fallen off my blazer.. very kind.
