Welcome to the Stony Live 2003 Diary. If you have some of your own either email them to me andy@stonylive.org or give me a hard copy and I can scan them in (You will catch me at most events... I'm the guy with the Austin Powers Glasses!) . At the bottom of every page of photographs you will find my miss spelt ramblings of the day. Enjoy!!! Sunday 15th June. Folk on the Green
Last day, and I have nothing to do other than watch. I must admit I was grateful for that. So I spent the day on the green listening to music, drinking other peoples wine and generally chilling out to the Folk on the Green. This sister event to Stony Live topped off the week in grand style. With glorious sunshine you couldn't want for a better end. There were many bands playing a variety of styles and I just drifted into my normal chilled self. One story was that a young band, the oldest being 17, were rehearsing at York House and got the spot for the afternoon when another band pulled out and there is also a rumour that a man walked again after listening to Soul Fever. That's show biz. I didn't go to the Pink Floyd evening at the Fox, but I heard it was as equally as good as Saturday night. Apparently there was an agent in the audience, heard the and booked them on the spot... They haven't had the deposit yet but it just goes to show. Its all over now, and I feel kind of sad. I have enjoyed my week, and I hope we on the Stony Live Committee, all the bands, artists, dancers, authors, drummers and the odd banjo picker brought you a bit of enjoyment too. Feel free to drop me a line with your stories, or send me your pictures. For every one I have published there are 10 more that I didn't. Tell which ones are your favourite and most of all tell your friends that its on next year. Stony Live is run by a small committee comprising of; Matt Armour, Ken Daniels, Keith Smith, Ian Andersen and myself. With help on many things by many people. Sofie Andersen gave us a hand with the Accounts. Dick the Chief steward and all the stewards that gave their time for nought, Roddy designed the logo, Reg did photo and the events web page, and Penny Peckett the programme. Watch out for Reg in the Fox who will be selling his pictures. The next thing you should go to is Togfest on June the 28th, please bring a bottle of sunshine. |
