TENERIFE

Weather:  Superb!  Temperature in mid-twenties centigrade for first few days, falling to low twenties.  Mostly sunny, with light cloud, but becoming more cloudy with a little overnight rain by end of week.

  Mount Teide (12,200 feet), the third largest volcano in the world (by volume), the highest point in Spain and in the Atlantic Ocean.
  This iconic rock structure, Cinchado, at Los Roques  de Garcia has appeared on the spanish 1000 peseta banknote.
  A cable car approaching the top station at about 10,000 feet on the slopes of Mount Teide.
