Guildford Floods September 1968

Heavy persistant rain fell in the Guildford area of Surrey all day on Sunday 15th September 1968 and by the evening, news was spreading that the River Wey had burst its banks, washing away the bridge on the Horsham Road between Shalford and Bramley. The lower lying parts of Guildford Town were severely flooded.

Now updated with an extra 12 photos from Dave Truzenbach.
