Asag and the Stone Allies

A 15mm 'Hordes of the Things' army. Asag was a Sumerian demon who raised and army of rocks and stones against men, but who was defeated by the hero Ninurta.

Asag The demon is a resin griffon I picked up a number of years ago, but with a head taken from a Games Workshop temple dog (itself quite an elderly figure as I recall). A little milliput work hides the join. Asag is an aerial hero general.

The Stone Allies The majority of Asag's force are small boulders, classed as hordes. These were made from gravel, with pieces of it being glued together into a roughly humanoid shape. To the right of the picture can be seen larger boulder, classified as beasts and very large rocks, classified as a behemoth. The former are large pieces of gravel, the latter are mineral specimens bought in the Natural History Museum in London.
