2004 Report
By Alan Millicheap
However aside from that I had an excellent weekend battling my way to 31st position with three wins and five defeats.
In all the games, except against Martin Golay, I was the attacker which suited my style of play which is ..er.. to attack and I got to play with my standing army, 15mm Chinese Civil War, for every game except against Tony Horobin where not only did I have to play GOS scale but play was across the board
Anyway I was beaten fairly and squarely by:
Benedict Sharrock with Nightmares of
the Outback
Martin Golay with The Welsh
Jay Woolrich with
Undead Anoraks
Tony Horobin with Panzer Group Kaninchen
Ty
Grover-Jones with The Seven Samurai
However with skill, judgement and a skip load of luck I defeated:
Richard Bodley-Scott with The Arthurian
Hunt
James Ewins with the Grandee Armee
Owein Mason with The
Elves
On the Saturday night I took part in the Glorantha game where my Antelope riders were slaughtered by Brian Pierpoint's Dragonnewts - at least they weren't splatted by The Bat
All in all a great weekend of gaming, drinking, chatting and buying stuff – now if only I had brought my fishing rod.
