This list is for the armies of Bran Mak Morn as described by Robert Erwin Howard in the stories such as Worms of the Earth, Kings of the Night, Men of Shadows etc. REH confesses in one of his letters that he was obsessed with the Picts and Scots always on the borders of the Roman Empire, the picts he describes are a misshapen ugly race from breeding with other races, only the kings and chieftains have kept the bloodlines pure.

The Antedeluvian King is Kull of Atlantis, King of Valusia brought forward in time by the magics of Gonar ( an ancient Pictish wizard ) to aid the descendants of Brule Spearslayer, that is Bran Mak Morn. The Norsemen raiders captured by Bran earlier had been about to revolt until Gonar had summoned Kull to lead them.

The Worms of the Earth are a degenerate humanoid species driven underground centuries previously by humans and have degenerated to a repulsive slimy form, they hate all humans however Bran formed an unholy alliance with them. They particularly excelled when asked to kidnap the Roman CinC destroying his stronghold to capture him.

This armies natural enemies would be Early Imperial Roman and Viking. Note that an opposing Roman general should be arrogant, shortsighted and lacking basic military skills.

A stronghold could consist of Druids and their sacrificial victims ie Roman Legionnares on stone altars and as well as standing stones and Menhirs.
