I don't have a lot to add to the excellent reports already sent. I would like to thank Chow Li for arranging the venue, Joel for supplying the prizes, Mike for making the long trip and Stu for having the temerity to bring a army with 8 shooters to a tournament. As already stated, with our small number we switched to a round robin format with a championship round. When the round robin games were complete, the points were as follows:

Joel Gregory 98
Bill Bennett 95
Chow Li 90
Mike Demana 88

So there was only 21 points between first and last place! We like to think we made up for quantity with quality.

The highlight of the tournament for me was when Xena captured the TARDIS to snatch victory from the UNIT forces who were up 10-6 over the Amazons. Later Stu and I ruminated over whether this must have happened in an episode of Xena or Dr. Who that we both missed.

The low point that sticks in my mind was Chow Li's magician bespelling Xena and Gabrielle with the named spell "Hot Tub Break" that sent them off for bubbly fun while the Amazons got pounded. Although they did eventually make it back to the battlefield, the freshly-bathed babes were too late to affect the outcome.

It was great fun and I hope we can share it with a few more HOTT players next year.
