History: The United States military were delighted when their research scientists revealed that they not only had some cells from the mighty kaiju Kajiro, but that they could clone their own kaiju from them as well. Plans were made to implant the clone with a control device that would make the creature tractable enough to be used as a weapon. Things did not go according to plan. The clone was produced, designated Kajiro-X1, and the control device worked, but a genetic instability meant that the clone's ability to control its internal nuclear reactions was compromised. The first effect of this was that the control device burned out. The second was that the creature was driven mad with pain. Escaping from the scientific facility in which it had been created, the clone began a rampage across the North Eastern United States. Although weaker than the kaiju from which it was copied, the Kajiro-X1 was still a formidable foe, as its glowing body leaked radiation and disrupted attempts by the militayr to oppose it. It was the Canadians who came to the rescue, deploying their new anti-kaiju craft, Kajutaijuq. In the ensuing fight Kajiro-X1 was subdued and transported to Monster Island.
